Image Advantages began as a part-time web design business intent on helping small businesses appear larger and more professional on the web.
Until the company was established, our founder maintained a regular full-time job. He simply hired an answering service to answer his business calls while he was away.
He actually tried several different answering services and found what is typical of most – low paid operators providing low quality service.
Whenever his customers called, they invariably knew they were speaking to an answering service. Often times the operators even mispronounced his name or even the name of the company!
Here he was trying to convince customers about the importance of a “professional image,” and his answering service was ‘showing’ them something very different.
While discussing his concerns with other business owners, he discovered most had similar issues – they were often missing calls and those who used an answering service, were generally unhappy with the service they received.
Something occurred to him…
